What is your favorite craft project?

I am still finishing up my christmas projects the button ornaments. Al La Martha

They are easy for a begining crafter like me, I want to get a little handier with my sewing machine and make a t-shirt quilt, I would also like to get a Silhoutte Machine and machine and maybe try to get my craft on with one of those....

Mark and I came home two days ago and saw all of our cats (thats 7) huddled around something in the yard. They looked like they were about to break and start a football play. Someone one in the group had killed a SNAKE. THey were all so proud.

Today I see that it has been moved closer to the house... they seem to be keeping it around for some reason ewww

My future father-in-law was a competitor in the World Percheron Congress held a month or so ago at the Iowa State Fair grounds. He took his percheron driving team, I am not completly sure what all he showed in but I know he got 2nd in a plowing competition the first day . Mark and I came up the second day to watch him compete and he got 1st place in the farmers pole competition. he got a PERFECT score the only competitor to do so. We were all so proud. While the class was finishing up he asked me if i wanted to drive his team! I was sooooo excited and honored they are very well trained and a blast to drive. I wish i remembered thier names but anyway they were so light and easy to drive.

Here is my driving them back to the barn after they won. All of Marks family were watching me ha ha its a good thing i didnt mess up .

FH's Christmas Party

Last night was Mark's work Christmas party at Honey Creek Resort. It was the first time I was meeting most of the people Mark works with, and I learned that Mark has been reluctant to tell his boss my name, so I have been called Leon at his work. Everytime His boss asked my name Mark said "she is from Leon" So this was my name tag:

The resort was all decorated for the holidays it was very pretty. I wanted to get more pictures but didnt want to look silly.

I did manage to take a picture of this tree in the hallway, I have been looking for ideas to decorate our tree next year and I LOVE this one, hopeing to copy it.

I managed to take a couple pictures, I wish I would have taken some pictues of the food they served the company really went all out we had crab cakes, samon moose, crab cakes, steak and shrimp, and tons more it was fancy.

Mark has been with the company for 10 years so he was recognized at the party with a nice pin and we also got to pick out a gift, there were alot to choose from jewlery, and tools but we choose a fire pit so excited for summer so we can try it out its HUGE!

1.Wool socks

This one might make the list 3 or 4 more times I LOVE wool socks. So warm and soft they can make a bad day good.

2. Mini M&M's

Ya know the ones your are supposed to use to bake in to cookies, well mine never make it that far, they taste so much better than the big M&M's ha ha

3.Jeannette Walls Books Glass Castle and Half Broke Horses

These books are a quick exciting read. Glass Castle is a bit shocking but you just cant put it down. It was published first but I wish i would have read it ater Half Broke Horses. HBH is not as shocking but deffinitly a girl power type book.

4. Wii - Super Mario Brothers

the FH and I play once a week or so its alot of fun, I think its a good way to release some stress and durring the winter it keeps us busy.

5. I hate my new job

6.I dont really like one of the kids I tutor (awful to say not his fault I am working on this)

7. I often miss Cedar Rapids and wish it would have worked out .

Growing 2015's Chirstmas tree

While finishing up my Christmas shopping I found these at Target. Grow your own Christmas tree in a tiny little pot. I got Mark and I both one and of course it has become a competition. I am sure I will slip mine some steroids(miracle grow) just to win.
