Des Moines Farmers Market

Had a day out with my momma yesterday went to the des moines downtown farmers market and the psychic fair. The Market was HUGE. and a great time! the fair was a bit of a disappointment very small but I got to see an old friend and got a reading that was very interesting!

But about the market...
I just learned the science center moved downtown! Cant wait to go there I always remember it being fun.

I found my future Goat Mentor ha ha i am looking into raising goat meat and the lady at this booth was very kinda and said she was willing to answer questions for me... YAY!

Had to take a picture of these cinamon rolls easily bigger than my head.

I seen bubble tea on lots of the food blogs I have been stalking... So I had to try it

Here is a close up of the jello pieces they put on the top.... hate to say but this was the only good part about the drink.

We chose Honeydew which did have some slight honeydew flavor I think we should have tried a red like cherry or watermellon I do better with reds... as Homer simpson says red is a fruit!

So in the bottom of the bubble tea is supposedly tappioca pearls or something. IT WAS GROSS they were tough and sticky and had an awful taste

My momma trying the drink... she didnt like it either.

This was one of my favorite stops and I was excited to see they were from knoxville. We tried goat cheese... which I have had and liked before.... but this.... this was AMAZING very taste!

Another favorite was an indian food tent. I forgot the name of these but it was tasty had potato and peas and the sauce to dip it in was tangy and sweet i hasnt tasted anything like it. Ready to visit that booth again

More Kittens to a good home.....

Trashley's kittens are ready for new homes... I hopes I can some luck finding them good homes.

I want a goat!

FH's Parents have a goat! A super cute tiny goat. ANd I WANT ONE!!!!! FH wont let me lol unless I can make money off of it or pay for good fencing... so looks like it will have to go on the back burner. Some day I will have a goat!

T-Shirt Quilt

I decided I needed a hobbie... since I am still struggling to find full time work in this tiny town.... UGH!
Anyway I am making a t-shirt quilt I have saved over 50 shirts from highschool and college. And I am glad I did.


Here is my pile all cut to 12inches by 12 inches

I lined all with fusiable interfacing along process but really seemed to make a difference.

Here is my layout you can tell in the top right corner I am missing some I am working on that lol

I have all the blocks sewn into collums sewn now I need to sew the collums together and add a few blocks... I need a few more t-shirts. It is pretty easy as of right now Its far from perfect as I have some seams that dont match but i hope it works out.

June got in trouble... this was a few weeks ago... yesterday I introduced June to the new kittens... she sniffed and sniffed then licked... then tried to take a nip out of the kittens ear... so no more introducing june to the kittens .... opps

Worst Dentist Visit EVER!

I hate going to the dentist... but its one of those things you have to do. However does it really have to be awful everytime you go?

I went tuesday to the dentist and it was the worst! They were running 20 min late, I elt like they were running people through like cattle they were very busy, the Dental Hygientist didnt numb me well enough so after they started I about jumped from the chair in pain they had to numb me again ick! And the worst part was the hygientist's hand slipped and she poked me in the lip with the numbing needle! I realise I sound like a whiner.... and i dont mean to but the woman wasnt even sorry I had blood dripping off my lip and she left it there.

Needless to say I will be finding a new dentist!
